The Cottage by the Sea is located in the Five Islands area of Georgetown Island, which is one of the most beautiful coastal areas on the Maine coast. Perched on a rise overlooking the harbor, this rustic cottage is a stone’s throw away from the rocky shore. This picturesque fishing village still holds the charm of an era gone by . . . a true getaway. The Five Islands area offers a little sandy beach, vegetable stand with a high-end selection of cheeses and wine, the Lobster wharf, Reid State Park, wonderful restaurants, kayaking, swimming . . . and lots more.

This quaint, rustic cottage is12 miles from the maritime city of Bath, a quick twenty minute drive up Route 127 know for its heritage including Maine Maritime Museum as well as its large variety of stores, shops and restaurants. Only 40 minutes away is the shopping in Freeport, including LL Bean’s flagship store. Antiquing available is available a thirty minute trip along Route 1 in Wiscasset. Portland is one hour south.

Rates are $1400 per week, $2500 for two weeks. Shorter stays in June, September and October are negotiable. No smoking and pets are permitted with a pet deposit. Check-in is at 3:00 pm and check-out is 10:00 am on Saturdays. Until confirmed, rates are subject to change without notice.
