The newly renovated oceanfront home with a sandy beach is located in the private ocean side community of Indian Point. Bold ocean views from every room, this charming cottage provides a relaxing atmosphere of a remote island getaway . . . a perfect setting for a romantic vacation. As guests of this small private community, you will enjoy access to several sandy beaches, nature trails along the marshes, tidal sand flats, miles of beautiful rocks with spectacular views and a boat launch on a sheltered bay. From two decks you can enjoy watching the surf, boats and two lighthouses (Cuckolds Lighthouse and Seguin Island Lighthouse) or fish for strippers off the rocks in front. At night, you will be relaxed by the sound of waves crashing, the smell of the ocean air and the moon light reflecting on the water. 

This pristine cottage has two bedrooms and two full baths. There are many large windows that will give you the feeling that you’re sitting on the rocks with the waves crashing at your feet. On a cool evening, enjoy the warmth of three gas fireplaces . . . just curl up on the couch and enjoy a good book. There is a fully equipped kitchen and a dining area next to the den. One bedroom has a queen-size bed and the other has a ¾-size bed. There is also a full-size futon in the den. This cottage will accommodate 5 people. 

Although most guests will just stay and enjoy the amenities of Indian Point, others will take a 10 minute drive to the beautiful beaches and sand dunes at Reid State Park or the picturesque fishing village of Five Islands. At Five Islands you can enjoy a shore dinner on the dock while watching the working lobster boats. A 20 minute drive up Route 127, you can visit the historic City of Bath with its maritime history and many old sea captain homes. While in Bath visit the Maine Maritime Museum as well as a variety of stores, shops and restaurants. A 40 minute drive from this cottage is the outlet shopping in Freeport, home of LL Bean’s flagship store. Antiquing is available a 30 minute drive north along Route 1 in Wiscasset. Boothbay Harbor is 1 hour east and Portland is 1 hour south.  

Rates are $2000 per week or $7000 per month. Check-in is 3 PM and check-out is 10 AM on Saturdays. Linen and towels are provided. Sorry, no children or pets. Smoking is prohibited. Until confirmed, rates are subject to change without notice.
