A quaint period cottage situated at the water’s edge of the Little Sheepscot River. Enjoy watching the working lobster boats and sail boats from the glassed-in front porch or the comfort of lawn chairs under the sprawling oak tree. This cottage features a deep water dock with a float where you can tied up your boat or kayak. For boaters and paddlers, destinations include Robinhood Cove, Goose Rock Passage and Five Islands. You can explore tidal rivers which offer passages to coves and bays as well as nearby islands that are on the Maine Island Trail system. Only one mile from the open ocean, you can enjoy cruising to destinations such as Seguin Island Lighthouse, Damariscove Island, Boothbay Harbor and other great areas along the mid coast of Maine. This charming two bedroom cottage will accommodate 4-6 people. It has a living room, dining area, fully equipped kitchen and a glassed-in front porch. The two bedrooms are located upstairs and have a king-size bed in each as well as a 3/4 bath (toilet, vanity and shower). The glassed-in porch has a pull out couch that will sleep 2 people. There is also a 3/4 bath on the first floor in addition to a washer/dryer. This cottage is less than a 10 minute drive to one of the most sought-after lobster shacks on the Maine coast located at Five Islands, considered by many of being one of the most picturesque fishing villages where you can enjoy a shore dinner while watching the boating activities in the harbor. A 10 minute drive will take you to Reid State Park with its mile sandy beaches and beautiful dunes. Visit historic Bath, a quick twenty minute trip up Route 127 known for its maritime heritage including Maine Maritime Museum as well as its large variety of stores, shops and restaurants. Antiquing available a thirty minute drive away on Route 1 in Wiscasset. While in Wiscasset stop at Red Eats, one of Maine’s most popular eating spots. Linen and towels are provided. Rates are $1,000 to $1,200 per week. Check-in is 3 PM and check-out is 10 AM on Saturdays. Pets are welcome and sorry, no smoking. Until confirmed, rates are subject to change without notice.
