This very comfortable two bedroom cottage sits on the rocks with stunning views of the open Atlantic. This oceanfront cottage is located in the private ocean side community of Indian Point. With bold ocean views and a very private setting, this charming cottage provides a relaxing atmosphere of a remote island getaway.

As guests of this small private community, you will enjoy access to several sandy beaches, nature trails along the marshes, tidal sand flats, miles of beautiful rocks with spectacular views and a boat launch on a sheltered bay. From the front deck you can enjoy watching the surf, boats and two lighthouses (Cuckolds Lighthouse and Seguin Island Lighthouse) or fish for strippers off the rocks in front. At night, you will be relaxed by the sound of the waves, the smell of the ocean air and the moon light reflecting on the water.  

This cozy cottage has two bedrooms (queen-size bed and twin beds) as well as a pullout double bed in the living room. There is a sleeping loft with cots . . . will accommodate 6 to 8 people. This cottage has a full bath with a tub/shower combination. 

Although most guests will just stay and enjoy the amenities of Indian Point, others will take a 10 minute drive to the beautiful beaches and sand dunes at Reid State Park or the picturesque fishing village of Five Islands. At Five Islands you can enjoy a shore dinner on the wharf while watching the working lobster boats. On the island of Georgetown there is a marina, two restaurants, general store and a farm stand with vegetables, cheeses, wines and much more. 

A 20 minute drive up Route 127, you can visit the historic City of Bath with its maritime history and several old sea captain homes. While in Bath visit the Maine Maritime Museum as well as a variety of stores, shops and restaurants. A 40 minute drive from this cottage is the outlet shopping in Freeport, home of LL Bean’s flagship store. Antiquing is available a 30 minute drive north along Route 1 in Wiscasset. Boothbay Harbor is I hour east and Portland is 1 hour south. 

Rates are $1200 per week. Check-in is 3 PM and check-out is 10 AM on Sundays. Linen and towels are not provided and pets are welcomed. Sorry, no smoking. Until confirmed, rates are subject to change without notice.
